And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Reminds me of Mt. Thielson, or Three Fingered Jack. Three Fingered Jack Summit tower is About 40 ft. tall, 20 feet in diameter, and it wobbles. Very very disturbing. And the top of both are covered with Black glass (Obsidian) from eons of lightning strikes.
Was backpacking in Daniel Boone National Forest in the Red River Gorge area. Got to the top of a ridge in a mild thundershower when a tree not more than 50 feet from me was struck by lightning. Scared the crap out of me. Ran back down the trail to bottom. Quite the experience. Never moved that fast with a full pack before.
a gust of wind will ruin your day (permanently)
