  1. My bedroom was kind of the same, but it was a colonial era post and beam, 1689, originally a coach road in, was turned into a farm our family ran for 3 generations till the whole house burned to the granite foundation. We had the well under the kitchen table, even a soapstone sink with a copper hand pump, huge wood shed out the kitchen door, around that at the end of the carriage stalls was a 4 holer outhouse with stained glass windows and a walk down clean out under it. A two oven woodstove, us kids got a bath on too of it, both oven doors open, it was pretty cold winters up in northern NH, cutting fire wood with a big old buzz saw run by a model T on bricks with a big leather drive belt off the rear wheel, the whole family pick up a delimbed tree and walk it into the saw.

    1. Brother, you should tell your stories to a co-author and write a book before those memories get gone.
