And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Another picture from the latest caving adventure
They found a tree cast, where the lava flow went around a tree and the tree burned up, leaving a round hole in the rocky lava where it once grew. This guy is seeing how deep it is. Wow.
There is a two block sewer crawl on the north side of Elgin, Il, but they put a chain link guard around the entrance. Was weird if you crawled up the ladder under a manhole and someone drove over it.
I shudder in fear of the things I used to do- like this- now that I'm older. But I also miss that adventurous fearless young man. Life has a balance and this is how things get discovered and known and done. Got bless the adventurous and curious who set their fears aside to do things most won't.
I'd use a tape measure...but that's me.
