And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

A tiger bursting to freedom after being rescued from a poacher’s snare in the Russian Far East.
Thats a mad kitty. Fish and Game trapped a large black bear right in our driveway. Oh man, was he mad, looked in the tiny bar grill window and he just about rammed his front paw thru it, snarling snd kind of barking, shaking the heck out of the trap. I had just bought the property, was vacant for 11 years, turned the power on, there was a pest buzzer under the sink cabinet plugged into the disposal outlet, this bear must have thought a honey bee nest or something was inside the wall, he ripped thru the siding and plywood to get at it. Largest black bear i ever seen, 450 maybe over 500 lbs. Big ol boy.
If you ever want to read an incredible true story about tigers in the Russian Far East I cannot recommend ""The Tiger" by John Vaillant" enough. True story. Creepy. Evocative of the cold expanses of the Russian pacific. A fascinating glimpse into the life of Siberian tigers and a bloodthirsty story of revenge.
Missed an opportunity. Park that truck downtown with a label on the box, "FLAT SCREEN TV, JUMBO SIZE".
ReplyDeleteShould have made the poacher ride with the kitty.
ReplyDeleteTwo parties sh*t'n git'n!
ReplyDeleteLooks slightly agitated.
