A Douglas B-18 “Bolo" bomber at Barksdale Field, Louisiana circa 1941. A mid-1930s design, the Bolo was approaching obsolescence by WW2 with better medium bombers just entering service.

  1. It’s a DC-2 or -3 with bomber bits stuck on. Slow and stable. A total sitting duck in WWII. I don’t think many saw combat.
