And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I always keep some in my preps. I watched a documentary about the SPAM factory and was pleasantly surprised. Clean, well run, and it's all shoulder meat.
Back in the day on a hill far away, we operated with one company on battalion security while the other three were in the “field”. Periodic rotations insured that all hands had opportunity to enjoy the amenities of life on the Hill. Amenities included 1-2 hot meals per day, cold showers, and sit-down heads. Prized above all was a PX that operated out of a half-dozen wooden ammo boxes. Limited inventory included SPAM and 4-6 oz. cans of Welch’s grape juice concentrate. Simple enough that demand never surpassed supply. Even Ham & Lima Bean C’s aced out SPAM. Though since occasionally tempted by the variety of newer flavors, I’ve not had SPAM since. Cain't get past the .... whatever. Verdicts not in but recently tried a cran-grape drink.
We regularly eat the Great Value Walmart brand. Tastes better and costs less. I slice it the wide way and put it and cheese and mayo on bread. Hundreds of ways to recipe spam.
i remember as a kid in the 60's having spam as a treat. i also remember every once in awhile getting a really salty batch. boy howdy, couldn't drink enough water.
Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam Spam! (SatNiteLive)

if you fry it to death and put enough other stuff on top, it can be made edible, or military grade IED's.
