And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Gee, got a 90 Chevy K1200 short bed, the rear frame rusted out, rest is nice condition, that would be a great custom project, a back yard shop copy cat of the above, using what I got for a base platform. Got all the equipment to do it I think. Have to come up with a hood system that totally custom, can repurpose the cab though without much work, fab up a lift for the mounts, shorten the frame and rear drive shaft. Might just do that. Had the old truck long time, did a mechanical resto on everything under the sheetmetal, did not want to sell it.
Unimogs are awesome. Buried one in mud once right up to the axles. Locked the diffrentials, put it in low low gear, and it climbed right out...very slowly.

ReplyDeleteowned a few 421 with 52hp. Slow but sturdy and unbeatable offroad. With 5500lbs even lighter than most SUV nowadays;)
