Reindeer steaks are kind of rugged eating, its super red color even when cooked, tastes good, just bit stringy, maybe never had it prepared properly, rather have a moose burger or deer meat steak if had to choose. Not knocking it, just not as tender as the other two, more tastes like elk than anything, hear they eat lot of moss, probably why it tastes as it does.
Prepared properly: grind it, mix it with 50% pig fat, add spices to taste put it in sausage casing, smoke it well, serve sliced with beer and crackers.
