  2. A lake in Minnesota has a '55 Nomad on the bottom. Some friends loaded the car with people to go spin donuts on the ice. They all made it out. It was the last time they drove on the lake.

    1. I'm betting there's more vehicles on the bottom of Minnesota lakes than realized. Nowadays you either shut up and lose it for good or if DNR knows about it owner will be fined daily until it's recovered.

  3. Pond next town over, pond, farmer who owns it puts on ice races, basic rules: 4 cylinder, 3.2 liter max displacement, 2bbl carb only, pump gas, rear wheel drive, all glass, and plastic lighting, removed, doors welded shut, fuel tank and battery mounted in rear seat area, needs to be an IMSHA approved fuel cell anti spill and auto shut-off pump, min 4 point roll cage, they deflate the tires, wrap couple heavy motorcycle style industrial chains around the tread then re-inflate, works like a treat, put them on all four corners, everyone strips them down till its bare metal, easy rules, about as cheap car racing u can do, little cars go like friggin' stink, races start at 1pm Sunday go till sunset, its very competitive, its all local folks so lot of people attend, owner does a pretty good chicken, sausage and burger BBQ too, $30 per, kids ten bucks, great time.
