  1. There's nothing like thick cut from the slab smoked bacon to tickle the taste buds at camp. Heart attack food for sure, but oh so tasty. The deli at my grocery store sells it, imported from Poland at $9.00/lb. You have to specify think cut and get them to show you the first slice. First slice is always too thin.

  2. we used to get them with the rind on...then you get that crunchy edge thing...dang ..I miss our own local Polish butcher...great sausage, smoked hams, slab bacon, kishka, Smoked Butt[canadian bacon] ....Joe Knutowski....what a guy.
