And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Taking a poll. Based just on looks, which silver watch do you like best?
I personally like the top one with the leather strap and just a touch of blue in the face. Having said that, out of my watch collection the one I get the most comments on looks more like the bottom one.
I like my Timex Indiglo. White face, upright black numbers, second hand. Day and day of the month. Push the crown to illuminate. Simple and very easy to read.
It's complicated. The Brellum has the best overall look, the Omega has the best band, and the Zenith has the cleanest facial layout . Put another way, the Brellum's band is hideous, the hands on the Omega and the knurled dial are two obvious aesthetic mistakes, and the Zenith has the calendar in the wrong place. I'm picky, and would be for such higher-end watches.
With those caveats, if I had to pick one, the Brellum would likely be it.
Then again, the odds of me spending $300-$30,000 on any timepiece that can be equalled or bested by a $50-$80 Casio G-Shock or Timex Expedition are right up there around the odds I win the Powerball.
I would spend good money on somebody who made a great wind-up watch, just to forego ever needing another gorram battery forever (the Hamilton mechanical field watch, etc.), but hesitate even then when that price would get me a decent handgun. That's starting to cross the line from utilitarian to men's jewelry, and that's also the point when a pocket watch is more in order, IMHO. When you'll save more in batteries in 20 years than the entire price of the watch, you're now spending negative dollars.
They all look impressive but, in this case, I prefer function over form. The Casio G-Shock wins hands down and there are very attractive models. Solar power (battery lasts typically over 10 years and is inexpensive and easy to replace), automatic VLF time syncing every night, multiple alarms, timer, stopwatch, and is brutally rugged at a fraction of the cost!!!
Brellum, Zenith then Omega. The Brellum is by far the most attractive. The Zenith is a nice functional looking watch. The Omega looks like a child's watch with big ugly hands, although it is probably the easiest of the three to read in poor light.
Brellum all day, every day, and twice on Sunday. I prefer that style over watches like the Omega so like others have said - purely aesthetics on my part.
Actually I don't like any of these... with my eyesight being what it is, for years now I've preferred watches that have great contrast between the hands and the face.. Black on white, white on black, etc. And I also prefer simpler designs like a good Westminster face or a simple Swiss Railroad watchface. I've had complicated watches -- moonphase, day-date, chronograph, etc. Just give me a simple watch face that tells time.
I prefer the Zeneth.
ReplyDeleteDitto!
Deleteyep
DeleteI would have to agree on the zenith. The bellium would do as well. Depends on which one is more robust
Deleteagree
DeleteThe Omega but with the band from the third watch, that mesh crap tears of the hairs on my arm…
ReplyDeleteDitto. But with the proviso that I'd have to have it in my hand first, I don't buy watches on line.
DeleteZenith
ReplyDeleteZenith. Had a 2Tone Daytona
ReplyDeleteWith Rolex Modified Zenith Movement. Gave it to My Son.
Middle one, omega

ReplyDeleteYeah, the Omega. I'd have some alternate straps tho'.

ReplyDeleteMarching to a different drummer: The Brellum
Omega
ReplyDeleteZenith , but I hate expansion bracelets. Much prefer leather
ReplyDeleteBrellum
ReplyDeleteZenith
ReplyDeleteBrellum
ReplyDeleteOmega.
ReplyDeleteKISS
+1
DeleteOmega
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of any of them, but the leather band is more comfortable for me, personally. So, BrelluM.
ReplyDeleteBrellum
ReplyDeleteNONE - I am retired and have zero need to wear a wristwatch. Besides, if and when I have my "smart" phone with me, I have a timepiece.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of Zenith, and actually use the chronograph, but the Brellum would be my pick out of the three shown.
ReplyDeleteI carry my watch in my pocket on the end of a chain. ---ken
ReplyDeleteBrellum
ReplyDeleteBrellum
ReplyDeleteZenith, but they're all pretty gaudy.
ReplyDeleteNone of them. I prefer the Bolex I got for $30 in Times Square. Sure, it doesn't keep time very well, but it's a classic.
ReplyDeleteThe Brellum!
ReplyDeleteZenith
ReplyDeleteBrellum.
ReplyDeleteI like the digits.
Omega.
ReplyDeleteThe Brellum is all Class. The other two look like they’re from the 80s and 90s
ReplyDeleteBrellum, Zenith then Omega.
ReplyDeleteAt a quick glance, I wouldn’t be able to see what the small dials were showing on the Brellum or Zenith. Omega for someone with classic eyesight.
ReplyDeleteOmega
ReplyDeleteOmega
ReplyDeleteZenith...
ReplyDeleteOmega...K I S S
ReplyDeleteThe middle one... the Omega.
ReplyDeletelast one
ReplyDeleteZenith
ReplyDeleteBrellum - but it's close to Zenith. I'd decide based on specs and features.
ReplyDeleteI like my Timex Indiglo. White face, upright black numbers, second hand. Day and day of the month. Push the crown to illuminate. Simple and very easy to read.
ReplyDeleteThe Brellum, but but like I the Zenith's metal band

Of the three the Berellum pleases my eye. From a practical standpoint it’s the Omega hands down.

ReplyDeleteOmega. The others are too "busy". I like the KISS principle on all my gear.

ReplyDeleteBellum, but I prefer that kind of date.
ReplyDeleteOmega is probably the most expensive but I will stick to my Breitling
