  1. Dent corn. Boil it for 3 hours and it'll still be hard as rock.

    1. But grind it into meal and boil for 3 hours and you’ve got a pan full of mush… not sure which is better?

  3. Fun fact... the energy required to make 1 gallon of ethanol is equivalent to 1.5 gallons of ethanol burned. Dont trust me though. Lookup "subsidized food burning".

  6. Sad that most is used for ethanol and destroying the health of millions (HFCS). Its not a bad grain in moderation, but clearly overused, overabused, and massively subsidized to do no good.

  8. Waiting for the day when there are no farm subsidies. Then we'll see who knows how to really farm and market their product.

  9. Small dairy farms would have used that for silage, but the small dairy farms are all gone now.

  10. Celebrated last day of irrigation. Last fields cut in 2 weeks. Now, what to plan for winter. Road trips. Fishing. Winter sucks.
