  1. Following the new MA law, I bought and installed a metal, locked cabinet. With shelves.
When I finished transferring all the ammo into it, it looked sparse. So I went out and bought more.

  2. These are great for passive storage but not for transporting. Any weight in them causes the center of the lid to bow up when lifted by the handle…

  3. What do real surplus cans run these days?

  4. I have 20 or more of these.

Rural King runs BOGO now and then.

You can get 1000 rds of loose 5.56 in one and it will weigh about 27 lbs, and no, the lid doesn't bow.

    1. Buy once, cry once.

The trouble with these is, they need a non-metallic hinge and latch, to make them suitable for underground caching.

Without it, you may as well just get GI ammo cans, which are sturdier and better built.
