And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Looks like a Martin Mariner before they installed sea-scanning radar. Long narrow wings are good for low speed, long range patrolling. Look at the PBY5 Catalina and the U2. Al_in_Ottawa
Much more comfortable for the crew than the PBY Catalina. Bunk space, kitchenette, a decent head.
Unfortunately had a slight tendency to blow up while flying, which was the fate of the PBM that launched from the Banana River Naval Air Station (now Patrick Space Force Base, the seaplane ramp is still in use) during the search for Flight 19.
Gonna wish we had a bunch of these real soon...
