And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
You are probably right. The higher elevation location helps with the majority of the atmosphere below the site. Unknowns include possible light pollution due to nearby urban areas and the relative humidity which limit visibility of smaller magnitude and diffuse objects. My place is in the desert at 6000’ elevation with no major urban areas nearby and I experience glorious night skies. Living in CA and northern VA were disappointments that I no longer worry about.
