  2. Haste makes waste, in this case to the tune of millions of $$$. I was taught never to exceed 20knots when taxiing in a straight line and to slow to 5-10 knots before turning off the taxiway and that was on aircraft that weighed 1/4 of what a 737 does.

    1. He's also the best for wildfire information. At one time he trained to be certified as a lead plane pilot for VLATs (very large air tankers) but his life lead him down a different path.
      His wildfire coverage is excellent because of that and the fact he was born and raised in the Seirra. His first job as a kid was helping to work on old air tankers at GOO (Grass Valley Air Park) in the 60's.
