And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
There is a green 51 F-2 that I have seen a few times running around here. The guy that owns it did a frame off restoration on it 25 years ago and put a Fox body Mustang GT 5.0 drivetrain in it. He also transferred most of the creature comforts off the donner GT as well.
My cousin John (RIP) had one and I assume his wife and daughter still have it. I moved in that thing a number of times in the sixties. I probably couldn't steer it these days.

ReplyDeleteMaybe not. The sheet metal used back then was a lot thicker than it is now.
ReplyDeleteA little sand blasting and you'd have an idea about how metal to need to replace.
ReplyDeleteProbably not, but I'm more interested in what's behind it.

ReplyDeleteNot even close to 'too far gone'.
ReplyDeleteGood headlights, trim, wipers, and windshield. Bet the tires are good too. what you're looking at is just a little patina.
ReplyDeleteIs it even patina? Could be a vinyl wrap over a sound body. Glass is exceptionally clean, could be a daily driver made to look old and tatty.
DeleteWhat is that vehicle with the split windshield, sitting behind the Ford truck? Is that a Jeep? If it is, it is very valuable.
ReplyDeleteThe truck and the Quaker State sign match
