  1. Sardines in mustard sauce. I don't care for the sardines in Dijon. Beech Cliff or Chicken of the Sea both work well. Add a little Dill makes them better.

  2. Our neighborhood is near a 130-acre park with a small lake in the middle. We have a varmint problem. I trap several possums a year (. . . nastiest creatures ever). Spiced sardines in tomato sauce work the best.

  3. I remember eating sardines in mustard sauce (the can had a key) on saltines with my dad when I was young. I cannot find the same taste in todays sardines in mustard sauce. Sometimes memories can work against you.
