And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Man, I really dislike that the big chains put the independant book sellers out of business, or maybe it terribly difficult to hang on.
I would spend hours and days and weeks searching titles. Cozy, inviting, with knowlegeable and interested staff. Not brashly lit and sterile like B&N and others.
There is a town in Scotland which has hundreds of book sellers. A bibliophile's dream come true.
Books, you say? Someone posted pix of world class, either libraries or bookstores, I can no longer recall. Wet dream stuff, just to visit. This one is close enough to my AO to be on my bucket list:
