  4. With the optional hood mounted tachometer. Those wheels and headlights would be replaced pronto with the original items if I were to buy it.

  6. Autos now are far superior mechanically to those but can't hold a candle to them when it comes to style.

    1. Not really.
      You can fix anything on that goat with a standard workbench worth of tools.
      I can't even find the battery on my wifes Equinox.

      When her heater core went out it cost $1800 to fix it and it took 3 weeks.
      You can replace the heater core in that goat yourself in a couple hours for less than $100.

  8. GTO = Gas, tires and oil.

    Fall of 1983, I was standing at the courthouse with a pocket full of money waiting on the owner of the '65 that I thought I had bought to show up and do the paperwork. He was a bit late but finally drove up in something else and explained he took the car out for one last romp and blew the engine to Mars.

    No sale.......

    1. I know how you feel, my case 1977 , grandpa's neighbor's 58 chevy, 20,000 miles and always stored, factory plastic still on the seats. night before the old lady took it out for a spin and got t boned, luckily she wasn't hurt too badly but damn
