  1. These are the kind of boots my mom called clod hoppers. I had a pair way back when. Wonder who makes them and where to get them.

    1. Red Wing still makes them. They cost dear, but last a very very long time. And Red Wing offers a very wide range of sizes and widths. They will fit.

    2. In the third and fourth grade my parents made me wear them to church,

    1. Red Wing makes, I think, 3 types of this boot: Chinese materials and manufacturer; American materials and China Manufacturer, American matrerials and manufacturers

    1. Throgood used to make some really good boots, but they also quit making man sizes. God forbid you need something larger than 13.
Good luck finding a decent size 16D anywhere.

    2. My experience is that Thorogood boots are very good and worth more than what you pay for them. Really like the roofing boots

  6. You've gotta roast them long and low to get that beautiful bark. The fat along the lower edge is perfect. And up top you can see it is just falling apart.

Nice ghost pepper hot sauce and a bottle of Chemin d'Fers
    That's a meal you don't forget!!

And I love the dishware! Morika?

  8. Had a pair many, many years ago, wish I still had them. Flat sole is needed when you're digging holes and dealing with mud (irrigation). Lugged soles pick up all that crap, flat ones don't (well, not as much)

  9. It's a common mistake for shade tree mechanics, but this is not what the manual is talking about when they refer to "wheel boots".
