Mount Shasta over the last few weeks

Great snow coverage

March 3rd just after a heavy snow.  Look at it covering the trees!

Avalanche Gulch.  That tiny dot in the center - a skier!  Shows the enormous perspective.

  3. Snow buried pines are deceptively dangerous. Get too close, and you tip into the well, usually head first.

  4. That's beautiful.
I hope the water managers don't waste all of Shasta again this year.

    1. No water was wasted last year. That's why this years' water year began October 1st with over 3,000,000 acre feet left in a resevoir that has a total capacity of 4,552,000 acre feet.
