And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Enjoyed beef heart, blood sausage, ceviche, chitlins, trotters and a few other indescribables but I draw the line at sardines. Just never could get past the sight of them lined up in a can of oil.
In my little town is a winery that sells tinned foods and such like. They have small plate noshes like this available to munch with wine tastings. Quite the yum factor, especially in the summer sitting outside watching the world roll on.
Nuri sardines are excellent! In olive oil, spiced olive oil, tomato sauce or spiced tomato sauce they are top notch. As good as any French sardine these sards from Portugal are pricey but worth it. Very healthful too. No mercury worries with sards and lots of Omega three fatty acids and protein.
I hardly ever eat sardines here in America. Not a fan. But,, Sardines in Portugal are a different matter. This brand and a couple of others are great. The Comur brand had retail outlets with many flavors and they are good. I brought several tins home with me. Still don't like American style sardines, at all.
I hear a whole lotta hurlin' in the background.

I don't care what they play in the background, the only thing I'm eating off that tray is the peanuts and the bread. The rest of that shit is bait.
