And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was about to say "Looks like a Jaguar V-12", then I noticed that it actually says JAGUAR on the side! DUH! It IS a Jaguar V-12. Nice, strong running engines, I had two of them, in an '85 and in a '90 XJS.
I suspect that front engine rails have been banned by the drag groups as too hazardous to the drivers. If not, the rear engine designs beat them anyway. They look neat, though.
There are still organizations runnin' Diggers in exhibitions and competitions all over the country. Pre-$$$$$$ invasion cars are a big draw nowadays. Far as I know ain't nobody Garlits a foot since, well, Don did it.

ReplyDeleteYou don't even hear of a Jag-powered FED, let alone have the opportunity to see one.

ReplyDeleteNicely done.
DeleteLooks like a Jaguar six-cylinder in the upper left. It's small but there is a drag racing community in Britain.
