And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The pocket knife looks like a basic Boy Scout type, I'd get a government "US" pocket knife for my kids where they turned 10. (made by Camillus, https://www.ebay.com/b/camillus-military-pocket-knife/bn_7024898595)
The dice are just pocket chain paperweights, with an obvious utility purpose.
1) The obvious, wagering for entertainment (and profit). 2) Deciding who has to wash the dishes or take out the trash.
And that looks like a combo-whistle/bottle opener at far left. Dual utility = primo choice.
The sole wooden checker and the belt clip attached to a Jack Sparrow hairpiece/chain of useless geegaws has me wondering, though.
It's supposed to be Every Day Carry, not Random Junk Carry.
If he swapped that useless nonsense for a round pill container, spool of fishing line or snare wire, or a simple compass, and an actual functional pace counter, he'd be onto something far less stupid.
It is his every day carry. And not necessarily all in pants pocket.
You might not believe what I consider every day carry with a vest, work shirt, and cargo britches. But it is all stuff I consider important to have with me.
Big Bad Leroy Brown's EDC kit - pity he is still missing a few pieces. Did upgrade that razor in his shoe ...

DeleteWhat are the two bronze looking things left of the pocket knife, and the thing below the dice?
ReplyDeleteL to R: Likely a whistle, then a pen, finally a pocket/belt clip

Pockets full of talisman. Eventually he might find the knife amongst the detritus.
ReplyDeleteTo compare this to baseball cards is the acme of inane commentary.
