And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Decent thunderstorm and buckets of hail here this evening
In ‘83 I was in El Toro during a massive hail storm. Afterwards I could see L.A clearly. The smog dome was gone. When in started to melt, the water was the color of milk.
We had a short-lived but heavy hailstorm here in SE England a few weeks ago which managed to cause a small leak inside. Roofers arrived and said easy job. Further inspection revealed more work, which led to more work and more scaffolding. There goes my summer vacation.
