And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That's why I started reloading more than 45 years ago when I bought a .44 magnum. Back then it cost about $10/20 round box. I could load a box of full power JHP for about $3.50.
Starline- Top quality, less expensive than the big-name brass, great service when ordering factory direct and free shipping from a family-owned business at the end of the Sedalia Trail in Sedalia, Missouri. What's not to love?
Always have liked the round, first new gun was a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt when the transfer bar system came out. I have an S&W Model 28 converted to .45 Colt and a Taurus titanium five shot two inch snubbie in that caliber. This is not the end of the list.
It's a hoot to shoot. Got a Blackhawk with an extra .45acp cylinder and a Redhawk that also takes .45acp moon clips. That way I can shoot a newer round when I don't want something with a 150 year history.
About a buck fifty every time you pull the trigger thingy.
ReplyDeleteThe most I paid was $1.20. Now its 90 cents. 230 gr

DeleteIMHO, a seriously underrated and underappreciated round.
