And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The little ones are "street" tacos. I used to be finicky about gristle 'n sheeeit. Then I went to Baja with a camera, helicopter support/chase team for a Baja 1000. We ended up in the middle nowhere, more than once, eating mystery meat, street tacos on the side of a dirt road and never got sick. Drank only sodas and beers. They had a janky table, a propane grill, cilantro, onions, salsa, mystery sauces, a mamasita, some rug rats, it was heaven on earth when you're starving. Hell, NOTHING makes me sick now, I could become a Snake, Bug Eater.
Some times I miss SOCAL.
ReplyDeleteRoger that!
DeleteThat looks really good!
ReplyDeleteYep, there's a little bit of SoCal in all of us. Too bad nothing stays like we remember it...but damn, Cali is fked up.
ReplyDeleteFled LA in 2000. Now am an East Coaster.

ReplyDeleteMan, I miss Ernie Junior's in Pasadena Cali. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. But, glad I don't live there anymore.
