And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
if you want a piece of art, buy art. a weapon or gun is meant to be used. not live in some showcase somewhere. I have a wonderful Walther PPK in 22lr. made before 1968. almost too pretty to shoot. almost. it hits the range at least once a year. bought from a older guy many years ago. it is like new in the box then. and I try to keep it looking at way ever since. magazines are a problem, even triple K magazines are over 50 bucks when you can find one. factory magazines where north of 100 bucks about 10 years ago.
Got a Springfield and just acquired a Turkish Tisas...nice tight fit and a virtual duplicate of the Government model 1911. This pictured above is too too nice to own, guns should be seen as tools and weapons, not pieces of art. Besides, the grips on that look way too slick to be functional.
I got a Tisas Commander, with all the current upgrades (from the factory). Accurate and reliable, $500 plus tax, can't beat that. Unless ya got one on sale for $479 or something.
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t shoot it. I certainly would. I have over 100k rds through a shotgun i paid 12k for. They aren’t just for looking at. Klaus
Nice, but it would have to stay in a case and never shoot it. I didn't used to think that way.

DeleteCabot makes very costly weapons. I believe the least expensive is around 5k.

Got a Colt, got a Springfield Armory, both work flawlessly (so far), at 1/10th the cost.
ReplyDeleteBBQ gun, and way, waaaay too pretty to shoot. Honestly, it may be too pretty to be seen outdoors.

If it was in my stable it would be shot, and on a regular basis.
DeleteBeing used does not mean being abused.

What a beautiful rendition of a firearm design my grandfather used. (And I'm old as f#ck). 🤷
