The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Agree P2, the picture should be outside looking in full to the door. I know if mine is full to the door I have enough for any winter. The last row in the back hasn't been touched in 12 years lol.
Depends on where you're located. If it warms up in the daytime a little - pine is fine. If it warms up to zero in the day - give me oak, hickory, elm or walnut. I love them all.
That wood looks like pine. Unfortunately, it burns way too fast and leaves way too much creosote on the chimney.
