    1. I believe back then they numbered from "1" in January; each year was a volume. If October is running to 650, then around 65-70 pages/issue. Sadly, PopMech has gone the way of PopSci, et al: not much mechanics, little science, written for an audience with neither tools nor skills. Kinda like UnScientific AntiAmerican, where today C L Strong and Martin Gardner would be rejected as "too white".

    2. Strong believer of 'climate change', my observation was that every story had to have the phrase "Due to climate change".
      A subscriber for many years to both Popular mags, I canceled. I miss Smokey.
