And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Sadly, PopMech has gone the way of PopSci, et al: not much mechanics, little science, written for an audience with neither tools nor skills. Kinda like UnScientific AntiAmerican, where today C L Strong and Martin Gardner would be rejected as "too white".
Strong believer of 'climate change', my observation was that every story had to have the phrase "Due to climate change". A subscriber for many years to both Popular mags, I canceled. I miss Smokey.
