Newspaper Rock, Tse’ Hone (Navajo / Diné) Newspaper Rock National Monument, San Juan County, Utah
Uncountable thousands of those little spots (mostly unknown or visited) littering the desert southwest. Always interesting to stumble across, out hiking. If you've never heard of the Grand Gulch, down near Blanding n Monticello, Ut. Check it out soon, before it's overrun with twit/tiktoktards, over-regulated and turned into a national park. That times coming, sooner than later.
That is really cool!

ReplyDeleteMy Lovely Melis and I stopped by Newspaper Rock in September. Canyonlands National Park is an inspiring place to visit.

ReplyDeleteI was there three weeks ago. The funny thing is, no one - neither anthropologists nor modern Indians - knows exactly what the rock art means.
ReplyDeleteIf you download this photo and zoom in you'll see strange things like 6-toed feet.
