  3. That's huge! Biggest I worked with, were 110 and 125 ton cranes in San Diego. Working in the ship yards convinced me it would be safer self employed as a tree guy. I did have a near death experience, a time or few, ship yards and trees. That's why I can predict the weather with my aching body.

  5. I think this is the Sleipner, a semi-submersible, dynamically positioned crane barge. They use this for offshore heavy lifts, normally installing the topsides of production platforms. With a crane like this, you can install a full-sized production facility including living quarters, in a single lift. If you're unimpressed, then bear in mind that the Sleipner has two 10,000 MT cranes to choose from.

  7. The Hereema Thialf. Been there done that and have several T-shirts. Their newest the, Sleipnir has 2 14,000 metric Tone Cranes and runs on LP Fuel.
