Unusual. But is it Useful?

  1. A specialized trim-router. I'm sure it's useful, but probably not so much for the average woodworker/DIYer. Good for sheetrock installers though. Me, I'd just use my trim router and maybe a hand-vac, as I rarely need to cut angular holes in sheetrock or plywood.

  2. I own a bosch router. The on/off switch went out after owning it a few months. Sent it in for repair to the tune of 40 bucks. Months later the switch went out again. I called them and told them I would never ever own another bosch tool.

  3. That’s what drywallers use to chop up my wires inside electrical outlets when hanging drywall.

  4. Niche tool, easily replaced with a keyhole saw for the occasional job. And -speaking from experience- these cutout tools/laminate trimmers and the like are not easy to use "once in a while". The damn things will get away from you and leave a mess. Great for a pro drywall installer, maybe an electrician/plumber- but remember the rules about letting either trade have a sawzall! Average homeowner/ diy guy? Waste of money.
