And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That's how you can tell the idiots at a distance. Seriously, the retard has the opportunity to experience a whale right before his very eyes and he's staring at that teeny screen. smfh
Shaking my head ... he's out there, surrounded by life in the outdoors. It even knocks on his door. But he's head down gazing into the endless screen. How very fatuous of him.
Christmas of ‘77 New Zealand Rob and I were on a Hobie Cat a couple miles off Laguna Beach just tooling along on a downwind reach, maybe going 3-4 kts. We spotted a California Gray Whale about 30’ long that was about a body length away and on an intercept course. We were lucky. The whale dove under us, maybe 5 feet under our keels and then breached about 20’ away. At that point, Rob and I looked at each other and had about a minute-long relieved laugh. We tacked back to the beach and had a great story to tell. - Rob Muir
Why is that? It's just some type of baleen whale, maybe a finback?
ReplyDeleteAsk Captain Ahab. Piss off that whale and he could sink your boat!
DeleteHe's just lookin' to be scratched behind his blow hole.

With those Orcas sinking boats in Spain I'd be a little nervous. (Yes I know this isn't an Orca mr expert everything.)

ReplyDeleteLooks like he's anchored or on a mooring waiting for something to happen. Haha
ReplyDeleteDepth of field with a telephoto lens is still a thing.
ReplyDeleteThe boat could be 5 yards away from the whale, or 50, and it would look the same.
Humpback whale
