On The Road

  1. Appropriately a scout leads the way.

  2. You can tell this is real, not staged, because the Scout is in front :). I was at a guy's house a while ago and saw a raw frame/drivetrain sitting in his yard. Took one look and said: 'That's a Scout!' much to his astonishment. Not everyone can identify a 55+ year-old vehicle from its bare frame, it's because I was in that same place many years ago. Turns out he has a few that he's working on restoring. I am told there is a resurgence of interest in these now, especially the old 800's. Like muscle cars, this old iron reached its zenith in ownership satisfaction in the late 60s. Lots of nostalgia for these brutes.

  3. The scout is leading the way because the convoy only travels at the speed of the slowest vehicle. >:o)

  4. We used Scout axles to put under old Jeep Cjs. They are a little wider and gave a nice stance
