And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I'm thinking for the Rec Teq to catch grease and store heat.
I have both a reversible griddle like this, and a large oblong Dutch Oven in this shape, with the top being reversed to serve as a griddle. You just can't beat cast iron.
One question I wonder about is when will get too old and infirm to hoist my cast iron cookware out of the storage onto the stovetop and back again. This griddle was of great use during a power failure during the winter some years back. I put it and a couple of it's room-mates on the gas stovetop and kept a low flame under them sufficient to maintain 250 degrees of radiant heat. That kept the core of the house in the fifties.
I had a delivery to the RecTeq factory in Evans GA last fall. They were cooking bbq chicken thighs at the shipping dock and invited me to join. Good people with great products. My next grill will be their Patio Legend 410.
When you go out on another tour of Northern California, go to the General Store in Likely. They have a great collection of Lodge products in the basement.
I have one, don't use it all that often actually but I did use if a few weekends back to cook bacon on the gas grill.

I am missing the reference to the RecTeq.
