Snowfall can't be too heavy with that flat roof

  1. That appears to be a cabin kit, using a steel container with interior finish out and full height living room glazed unit on a wood deck. Easy to clean and maintain. Small floor plan allows a lot of lee way with building codes. Given a scenic view and/or locale, a few of these units can be rented and make some money for their owner.

  2. Roof slope and snow loads are only 2 factors of many used for framing design. If ASCE guides were used for design and the builder didn't go rogue, there's no reason a flat roof is any more or less likely to have a problem with snow. I'd be more concerned about wind induced negative loads in that location.

  3. It's got rain gutters, you usually don't use those in heavy snowfall locales.

  4. As noted above, it's a shipping container. You're gonna have to stack something heavier than snow to damage it.
