And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
the M60 was a b!tc# to start at temps below 0F. but, even at -20F the M1s turbine would fire right up, as long as the batteries were not frozen. KurtP.... the U.S. tanks have a heater that will run you out if you let it burn at full for too long.
Our M-48A3 diesel tanks had a "glow plug" that preheated the fuel, and they started fairly well. But then, it never got that cold in California or in Vietnam. And no, they were always colder than cold when the temps were chilly.
Do they put engine block/crankcase heaters on tanks?
