Ok, I'm getting some. Taste test report once they arrive.

Is that like a brat?  A bratty sprat?

  2. Also called a Russian Sardine. It is canned just like our sardines but they are 4" to 5" without the head with all the popular flavors; oil, tomato, chili, and mustard. I could get them when I was in Asia.

    1. I don't think that there is a sardine canned in the US anymore.

  3. The Old Riga brand in oil is my favorite. They are from Latvia.

  6. I like the Riga brand. The oil in them gives them a kind of "nutty" flavor. A Canuck friend of mine introduced me to them several years ago and told me to try dipping some bread in the oil once the fish were gone. I did and it was very good. Best of luck.
