  1. Don't give HER a ride in the seaplane. Just a word to the wise.

  5. I remember this series devolved from a promising start into a silly, boring mess.

    1. Largely because of the antics of Jonathan Harris (Dr. Smith) and his tantrums, I have read.

    2. They de-commified Dr. Smith. Originally he was the big-bad secret implied-soviet spy sent to destroy or screw up the US space program.

It was a typical Irwin "Master of Disaster" Allen show, like all of his shows. A great premise, devolved into 'Shoot a monster, grab a teat' style of pulp-sci-fi.

    3. What I have read agrees with Aggie. It could have been a rather good drama program, rather than camp

  8. Kind of like the Diva in the 5th element.

  9. By her costume and makeup, she is designed to look alien and freakish. Maybe back then, but today she'd fit right in.

    1. She's hot looking and not overweight. As one of my friends would say, "I'd do her."

  10. That's my parent's enormous potato chip bowl which sat alongside the smaller one serving the clam dip.

  12. Yes, she was beautiful. Very exotic looking. Actress Vitina Marcus. She was in several '60s Westerns including Gunsmoke and Rawhide.
    From IMDb-
"Vitina and Rory Calhoun had a daughter, Athena Marcus Calhoun, who was named 'The World's Most Beautiful Showgirl' and awarded 'The Key to the City of Las Vegas' in 1987."

Also according to IMDb she is still alive at 83.

    1. Oops. She was born in '37, so she'd be 85.
