And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Scott and Wild nailed it. No power steering, no a/c, my Dad's '56 Ford Wagon didn't even have a radio! And yet nobody complained about a thing. We all had fun anyway without all that. It was indeed a different time.
i'm thinkin this almost exactly like my dad's car in 57 or 58. i was 3 or 4 years old. climbed in and pushed the starter button while it was in gear. couldn't get out of it quick enough.
