And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
In Britain that would be a stream, just a bit wider and deeper it would be a river. On my first visit to the USA I took a trip up the Connecticut River, it dwarfed anything Britain has to offer. That made me wonder at the obstacles the early pioneers were confronted with. Nevada must have come as a bit of a relief when they reached it.
I love flyfishing small creeks. There's gotta be trout in there.
