  1. My Lovely Melis wears these for winter walks, though I still can't understand why someone would be wearing a tennis or running type shoe in the winter while out for a stroll.

  2. Worth more than their weight in gold if you have to go out and walk on ice!

    1. agreed! falling really hurts more now and it's a lot harder to get up.

    2. Work well until you forget to take them off before stepping inside on hard surfaced flooring. And I can report from experience the rubber doesn’t like -30 or colder.

  3. Do yourself a favor and get the upgraded version with the chains. Work better and will last a lot longer especially if you get off the sidewalk. Use them all winter in SE Alaska when it is icy.

  4. I dunno, I think I'll continue to spend my winters here in Phoenix. When it gets cold, I'll put on socks.

  5. I went through 3 sets of YakTrax in as many years. The rubber breaks in the cold. Then I upgraded to StabilIcers and have used the same pair for 5 years.
