  1. I have a fondness for the '57 Chevy. Was the very first model car I ever put together. Can't recall if it was an AMT or Revell kit, though.

  2. Only the rich kids had 'em when I was in High School. I was religated to driving a clapped out '49 Chevy 2dr "torpedo back" I bought for $50..

  3. That color is very similar to a Bronze color Ford had on some of their pickups back in the early to mid '70s. It was a very pretty color when the paint was fresh or well maintained.
It was a good pickup color because it looked good even when the rig was slightly dirty.

  4. Very nice Bellaire and with fuel injection. That color may be canyon coral, as
    there was no root beer.

  5. It looks good with that color. Most of the time they're red or red/white.

  6. We had a '56 4 door B/W BelAir. AM Motrola Radio only (good for Dick Biondi on WLS), no A/C or power brakes or steering, which came in the '57 Impala.

    1. In 57 there was no Impala body style. The Bel Aire was the top of the line.
The 58 was the first of the Impalas.

    2. My primary '57 did not have PS or PB, but it did have a ragtop in place of A/C! Hmm, my '56 2dr HT didn't have any of that, either.

  7. Root beer would be a little darker, but that is very nice.
If I was wealthy I'd own a Gibson LP with a birdseye maple top and a transparent root beer finish.
