And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

More on the super tall Steinway Tower, 111 west 57th street, New York
Not sure I want to find out. Went to the Empire State building deck back in 1962, it was very windy and I literally started feeling seasick, swayed 1 to 2 ft I was told (just a kid back then). That has to flex more.
I read somewhere there's a 800 ton balance weight? of some kind that acts as a damper at the top floor. If my memory is any good, cause it is good, just kinda short sometimes.
I wonder how much this bugger 'sways' in the wind.....
