  2. Very nice, invokes that era when life was less regulated by government thieves.

  3. Not so old, that is a modern 26 gauge standing seam metal roof...

  4. It's a 56. The 55 had a more solid tail light lens. (I remember as a kid thinking the 55 tail light lens looked like the back end of a cockroach.)

The filler is behind the left tail light on both the 55 and 56. You push in the reflector and the tail light assembly hinged downward exposing the filler cap.

  6. My Dad had a Ford wagon that same year and with a similar two-tone paint scheme, red and white. We used to take it on vacation to Clear Lake where I'd buy creme soda out of a big chest style cooler, 5¢ for a 12 ounce bottle. Returning the empties worked on the honor system. Fond memories.

  7. '56 for sure, as I had a 2dr hardtop. It has the factory v8 emblem on the tailgate, there should be a matching one on the front of the hood. (The six cyl version just has a large Chevy emblem in place of the V.) Would be a 265 cu inch engine. The 283 v8 came in '57, IIRC.
