And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The second fixes the first. Then just let go of what you can't retrieve. Just saying. Hey I had a bunch of reloads of various calibers, submerged in a tote for a couple of weeks, due to a previously unknown leak. So far, none of the ammo I tested, has misfired, and seems to shoot just fine.
I have been going through things in the basement getting ready to move. I found a box with 5000 124gr JHP, 5000 124gr JRN, 10 bricks of primers, 4 lb Universal powder, 4 lb Blue Dot powder, and a gallon of cleaned brass. I don't remember storing it away but I was using Universal back in 1998 and 1999. The price tags were $19.45 - $20.95 on the primers and I have no clue on the cost of the rest but I remember making finished ammo for 6 to 8 cents back in 2000.
There are only two times you can have too much ammo - if you are on fire or if you are in water over your head.

ReplyDelete"Too much ammo" is a self-correcting problem.
