A nice, tidy design

  1. My grandparents (funeral home owners) had a black '52 Packard that they used to transport families to the cemetery after the service. When they sold it in '63, it only had about 35k miles on it, but the seats had been reupholstered twice.

  2. Have always wondered why Packard failed after the War. A factoid. Supposedly the soviets were so taken with their Lend Lease Packards that when Packard went under, they bought the stamping dies to make their own versions.

  3. Packard tried to compete with Cadillac after the war....they weren't alone in winding up on the scrap heap in the 50's and early 60's.....
