And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

2 bucks a can is an excellent price for this stuff. Stock up.
I've bought this before. It's pretty spicy. Not your typical Progresso soup. Like Aggie says, you can buy it much cheaper locally if you look for sales on Progresso.
I have never tried Progresso brand, but I have tried Campbell's Chunky 'Jazzy Jambalaya' and I couldn't finish the can. It was pretty darned hot stuff.
My bride said $1.50 is a good price on it and there's another can lurking in the pantry. I guess I need to screw up my courage and see if I can finish that can in one sitting. Wish me luck.
I like the Zatarain's Rice better, I usually add half of a Kielbasa to it. It's a little more "hearty" because it's mostly rice but you can always add something to it if you like it more like a soup. Progresso's Tomato and Basil and Clam Chowder are awesome.
Kroger occasionally runs a promotional for all their Progresso soups for $0.99 / can, if you buy 10.

ReplyDeleteCurrent Kroger sale is $2.00 a can, glad I stocked up at the last sale.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what qualifies as HOT at Progresso. In any case, I'm guessing they don't bother shipping any of this to southern Louisiana.

I liked this Progresso, but I never see it anymore:
ReplyDeleteTomato & Roasted Red Pepper
It's okay, but I prefer gumbo.
ReplyDeleteThat stuff will take the chrome off a trailer hitch!
